Driving under the influence

146 persons have been arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence (DUI) offences for the year so far.  That's according to data provided by the Police Service. According to a release, the Traffic and Highway Branch has tested over 2900 motorists, apart from the 845 voluntary breath tests that was carried out of which 304 persons were found to be over the limit.

Tracey Leon Austin, 50, by Department of Public Safety Trooper Joey Pace pursuant to Gregg County warrant/grand jury indictment/assault bodily injury family/house member plus two within 12 months, and pursuant to Rusk County warrant/harassment. Subject remains in custody. Megan Nicole Hodge, 34, by Carthage Police Department Investigator Brack LaGrone for possession of a controlled substance penalty group one between one and four grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.
