Maine State Police have arrested a man in connection to the death of his girlfriend in the town of Clifton. Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says police charged 37-year-old Dwight Osgood Jr. with murder Tuesday in the death of 35-year-old Kary Dill. Dill was found shot to death in the couple's home on Airline Road Monday morning.

Two teens were arrested on Jan. 14 in connection with Musa's homicide

Syracuse police have arrested two teenagers in connection with the Dec. 19 killing of Asim Musa, a Sudanese immigrant, who was shot and killed while working behind the counter at Eddie’s Eagle Market on Oakwood Avenue. Troy Derby and Stanley Sawyer, both 18, of Syracuse, were charged with murder on Monday, police said.

A Des Moines man was charged with two counts of murder

Detectives interviewed witnesses and processed the home in the Douglas Acres neighborhood for evidence. Crime scene technicians remained at the scene hours later, taking photographs near the front yard that was roped off by cautionary, yellow police tape. Police found 18-year-old Martinko

her face and chest stabbed repeatedly — at 4 a.m. on Dec. 20, 1979, in her family’s tan 1972 Buick in Cedar Rapids’ Westdale Mall parking lot. The Kennedy High School senior drove to the mall after a school choir banquet to shop for a new winter coat. Wounds on the teen’s hands showed she fought her killer, but the medical examiner’s office said Martinko was found fully clothed and had not been sexually molested. An examination showed she was stabbed at least eight times.
