Texas District Court Judge Charged for DWI

Judge Elizabeth Berry , a Tarrant County District Court Judge, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.  The Houston Chronicle article reports that the District Attorney's office waited until the blood-tests results came back from the laboratory before filing a charge.  The filing of the charge indicates that the results were higher than .08.

Judge Reagin

  Judge Reagin was a criminal defense attorney in Harris County who was well known for working hard and writing successful appeals.  She was also the Editor of a local publication called The Defender.  The Defender is a local publication that deals with issues at the criminal courthouse and other criminal justice related issues.

Mother of Baby Grace Convicted

Kimberly Dawn Trenor , mother of the child who was once known as Baby Grace, was convicted of Capital Murder in Galveston, Texas.  The Galveston County District Attorney's Office elected not to seek the death penalty so Trenor will receive an automatic life sentence. There is no question this woman's conduct was beyond disgusting.  Even a cat will protect its kittens.  Allowing some dude you met off the Internet to hurt your child, and to engage in the conduct yourself places a person far past the boundaries of grace or compassion.
