 A 30-year-old man was sentenced to life in prison Thursday after pleading guilty to killing his girlfriend’s 2-year-old son, who was found with bruises, bite marks, and signs of sexual abuse in 2018.

According to a statement by 8th Circuit Solicitor David Stumbo, William Ryan Looper pleaded guilty Thursday to murder, first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor, and two counts of unlawful neglect of a child. Looper was sentenced to 60 years in prison on the criminal sexual conduct charge. Additionally, he was given 10 years on the unlawful neglect charges, to be served concurrently with no possibility for parole.



A Florida man was recently arrested amid allegations that he repeatedly sexually assaulted an underage family member for several years.

The Pensacola News Journal reported that a pastor with the church Robert Cota, 31, attended contacted Escambia County police after Cota approached him after a new members’ event and asked him about the church’s beliefs regarding marriage, gender, and sexual contact.


A Pennsylvania man was shot to death Thursday night as he was eating Thanksgiving dinner with his family, struck by a stray bullet that crashed through a window and killed him.

Crews flew Edilberto Miguel Palaez Moctezuma to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center after the shooting, but he was pronounced dead on arrival, the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office said.

Norristown Police say they are looking for Kevon Clarke, 19, for the shooting, which stemmed from a dispute at another holiday party earlier in the day.


Two groups of people opened fire on each other at a North Carolina shopping complex Friday afternoon, sending Black Friday shoppers scurrying for the exits and diving for cover.

Three people were shot, police said including a 10-year-old child, who was hit by a ricocheting bullet. The child was taken to a nearby hospital and is not thought to be in life-threatening condition., WRAL reported.


 Police are investigating a triple homicide after three bodies were reportedly discovered in a remote area on the south side of Indianapolis Tuesday night.

According to WXIN-TV, police say an off-duty officer found two bodies in a wooded area during a routine check on the 4400 block of South Meridian Street at approximately 8 p.m. A third victim was discovered shortly after additional officers were called in, the Indianapolis Star reports.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson William Young described the terrain as a “remote area which is somewhere hard to get to.” Investigators reportedly needed ATVs to reach the crime scene.


A California teen is behind bars after he reportedly admitted to killing his girlfriend and her parents.

According to the Humboldt County District Attorney, 19-year-old Mauricio Johnson pleaded guilty to murdering Nikki Metcalf, 40, Margarett Moon, 40, and Shelly Autumn May Moon, 16. Johnson received 150 years behind bars.

Court documents indicate that Johnson went to hi his girlfriend’s home “with the permission of several minors” on February 9 in Bear River Rancheria. On February 10, a 13-year-old called 911 and said she saw  “her mother, sister, and father bleeding out” after Johnson shot them.


A 24-year-old woman her 22-year-old boyfriend were arrested this week after the woman’s 88-year-old grandmother was found dead in her home.

The Danville Police Department wrote in a press release officers responded to a call on Oct. 10 at 10:45 a.m. on Juless Street. The person who called 911 reportedly found the resident, later identified as 88-year-old Elizabeth Morris Adkins, unresponsive inside the home. Danville Police opened up a homicide investigation into Adkins’ death based on evidence at the scene, according to the department.


A party on Halloween weekend turned deadly when gunfire rang out, killing one person and injuring multiple others, KPRC-TV reports.

Around 12:45 a.m. Sunday, police were called for a shooting in progress at a house party in north Houston.

When officers arrived, they saw a large group of people dispersing from the scene, most of whom appeared to be minors.

Police said Clarke, his girlfriend Jacqueline Brown, and two other people were asked to leave that party, and after they left, the hosts discovered alcohol was missing. Brown’s cousin, who was also at the party, called her and told her about the theft, and they made arrangements to collect the missing alcohol at Clarke’s house.
